Phlebotomy Technician

As a Phlebotomy Technician you will be trained to draw blood samples from patients in a clinical laboratory or public health setting. Over the course of the program, you will gain exposure to on-the-job duties that include drawing blood samples from patients, producing quality laboratory results, gaining the trust and confidence of patients, and much more. The program includes 70 hours of classroom instruction and a 40-hour clinical phlebotomy externship.

The program will prepare you to take the national Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam from the National Healthcare Association (NHA)Textbooks and Scrubs sold separately.

Program Fee: $2,995 (includes liability insurance, CPR certification training for the Healthcare Provider, externship national exam, name badge and certificate) 

Pre-requisites: 18 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will be trained to care for and transport the sick and injured, respond to emergency calls and treat trauma patients. An EMT works in an emergency room or for an ambulance company. The program consists of 172 hours of classroom instruction and a 24 hour externship.  This program will prepare you to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certifying exam. Books, EMT Uniform and Medical Kit sold separately.

Clinical Medical Assistant

As a  Medical Assistant, you will be trained to help physicians carry out procedures, care for patients, perform basic lab tests and administer medications. The Clinical Medical Assistant works in a physician's office or a clinic setting. The program consists of 160 hours of classroom instruction and a 160-hour clinical externship.  

This program will prepare you to take the national Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam from the National Healthcare Association (NHA). Textbooks, Scrubs and Medical Kit sold separately

Pharmacy Technician

As a Pharmacy Technician you will help the pharmacist prepare and mix prescriptions, maintain patient records, refer patients to the pharmacist for counseling, and assist with inventory control, payment, collection, purchasing and billing. This program includes 182 hours of classroom instruction and a 120-hour clinical pharmacy externship. 

Upon successful completion of program, students may apply directly to the California Board of Pharmacy for the Pharmacy Technician License. Textbooks and Scrubs Sold Separately.
