Phlebotomy Technician 

 

Earn your certificate in as little as 3 months and qualify for an entry-level position in a laboratory setting.

As a Phlebotomy Technician you will be trained to draw blood samples from patients in a clinical laboratory or public health setting. Over the course of the program, you will gain exposure to on-the-job duties that include drawing blood samples from patients, producing quality laboratory results, gaining the trust and confidence of patients, and much more. The program includes 64 hours of classroom instruction and a 40-hour clinical phlebotomy externship. The program will prepare you to take the Exam for Phlebotomy Certification (CPT1) from the National Healthcare Association (NHA).

 

Program Fee: $2795 (includes liability insurance, CPR certification training for the Healthcare Provider, externship and certificate)

As a  Medical Assistant, you will be trained to help physicians carry out procedures, care for patients, perform basic lab tests and administer medications. The Clinical Medical Assistant works in a physician's office or a clinic setting. The program consists of 280 hours of classroom instruction and a 180-hour off-site Clinical Medical Assistant externship.  Includes CPR Training, externship and certificate. Textbooks and Supplies sold separately.

Program Fee: $2795/ $300 registration fee

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) you will be trained to provide direct care to patients in longterm care facilities or hospitals. You will learn to take vital signs and prevent infection. This 160-hour program combines 60 hours of classroom instruction with a 100-hour off-site clinical externship. When you successfully complete the classroom and clinical instruction, you will be eligible for certification as a Nursing Assistant through the California Department of Public Health. Includes clinical externship, uniform, CPR training and required certification examination. Textbook sold separately.

In this program, students learn administrative front office concepts and skills for hospitals, clinics and doctor's offices. Instruction includes medical terminology, HIPAA, standard patient processing and concepts of front office customer service. The program includes CPR and First Aid certification. Students will need access to the Internet for some components of this program. Computer lab time will be available outside of classroom instruction. Includes externship and certificate.Textbook sold separately

Electrocardiography (EKG) Technician

Our EKG Technician training program will prepare you for an excellent career and to take a national EKG Technician certification exam. You will gain 70 hours of classroom instruction to help you acquire a strong understanding of electrocardiography. Over the course of 10 weeks you will be exposed to job duties including: unit operation and troubleshooting, lead placement, use and understanding of EKG grid paper, recognizing EKG patterns in all 12 leads, and plotting the EKG axis. Includes supplies and certificate. Textbook sold separately.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will help the pharmacist package and mix prescriptions, maintain patient records, refer patients to the pharmacist for counseling, and assist with inventory control, payment, collection, purchasing and billing. The 302-hour program combines 182 hours of classroom instruction with a 120-hour off-site clinical pharmacy externship. Includes supplies, externship and certificate. Textbook sold separately

Billing and Coding Specialist     

 

Record and process data about patients, process insurance billing and receipt of payments. Code a patient’s diagnosis and treatment using ICD-9 and ICD10, CPT and HCPCS codes maximizing reimbursement for the provider in a hospital, doctor’s office or other healthcare setting. This program is offered entirely online, with weekly assignments, online learning and an instructor-led virtual class twice weekly for a total of 112 hours.
