Phlebotomy Technician Phlebotomist.jpg

As a Phlebotomy Technician you will be trained to draw blood samples from patients in a clinical laboratory or public health setting. Over the course of the program, you will gain exposure to on-the-job duties that include drawing blood samples from patients, producing quality laboratory results, gaining the trust and confidence of patients, and much more. The program includes 70 hours of classroom instruction and a 40-hour clinical phlebotomy externship.

The program will prepare you to take the National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (NCPT) exam from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)Textbooks and Scrubs sold separately

Deposit to Enroll: $300

Program Fee: $2995 (includes liability insurance, CPR certification training for the Healthcare Provider, externship name badge and certificate) 

Pre-requisites: 18 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)  NEW PROGRAM!

 

As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will be trained to care for and transport the sick and injured, respond to emergency calls and treat trauma patients. An EMT works in an emergency room or for an ambulance company. The program consists of 172 hours of classroom instruction and a 24 hour externship.  This program will prepare you to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certifying exam. Books, EMT Uniform and Medical Kit sold separately

Program Fee: $2995 (includes liability insurance, CPR certification training for the Healthcare Provider, externship and certificate)

As a  Medical Assistant, you will be trained to help physicians carry out procedures, care for patients, perform basic lab tests and administer medications. The Clinical Medical Assistant works in a physician's office or a clinic setting. The program consists of 160 hours of classroom instruction and a 160-hour clinical externship.  

This program will prepare you to take the National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) exam through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). Textbooks, Scrubs and Medical Kit sold separately

Pharmacy Technician Program

As a Pharmacy Technician you will help the pharmacist prepare and mix prescriptions, maintain patient records, refer patients to the pharmacist for counseling, and assist with inventory control, payment, collection, purchasing and billing. This program includes 182 hours of classroom instruction and a 120-hour clinical pharmacy externship. 

Upon succesful completion of program, students may apply directly to the California Board of Pharmacy for the Pharmacy Technician License. Textbooks and Scrubs Sold Separately

Manage the front desk of a medical or dental office.  Learn medical terminology, standard patient processing, and medical billing and customer service. This program includes 80 hours of classroom instruction plus 40 externship hours. Textbook sold separately

Electrocardiography (EKG) Technician

Our EKG Technician training program will prepare you for an excellent career and to take a national EKG Technician certification exam. You will gain 70 hours of classroom instruction to help you acquire a strong understanding of electrocardiography. Over the course of 10 weeks you will be exposed to job duties including: unit operation and troubleshooting, lead placement, use and understanding of EKG grid paper, recognizing EKG patterns in all 12 leads, and plotting the EKG axis. Includes supplies and certificate. Textbook sold separately

Billing and Coding Specialist

Want to stay home and go to school online? Are you interested in translating complex medical terms into codes for billing? Learn to record and process data about patients, process insurance billing and receipt of payments. Code a patient’s diagnosis and treatment using ICD-9 and ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes maximizing reimbursement for the provider in a hospital, doctor’s office or other healthcare setting. This program is offered entirely online, with weekly assignments, online learning and an instructor-led virtual class twice weekly for a total of 112 hours.

 

Program Fee: $1,299/$400 Deposit to enroll. Tuition includes certification examination. Flexible no and low-interest payment plans available.Textbooks sold separately

Veterinary Assistant

Assist the Veterinarian or the Veterinarian Technician in their daily tasks. Learn proper handling and procedures for examination of pets for signs of illness, disease, or injury through practical training. Instruction includes legal, ethical and professional standards as well as nutrition basics for animal care. Also covered are hygiene and sterilization techniques used for laboratory and surgical equipment as well as maintenance and management of a veterinary setting. This program includes 35 hours of classroom training plus a 24-hour volunteer experience. You will be responsible for locating your volunteer experience.  Textbook sold separately.
