As a Clinical Medical Assistant, you will be trained to help physicians carry out procedures, care for patients, perform basic lab tests and administer medications. The Clinical Medical Assistant works in a physician's office or a clinic setting. The program consists of 134 hours of classroom instruction and a 160-hour off-site Clinical Medical Assistant externship.  Includes supplies, externship and certificate. Textbook sold separately.

Program Fee: $1,999/ $200 to enroll

Certified Nurse Assistantcna1.jpg

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) you will be trained to provide direct care to patients in longterm care facilities or hospitals. You will learn to take vital signs and prevent infection. This 160-hour program combines 60 hours of classroom instruction with a 100-hour off-site clinical externship. When you successfully complete the classroom and clinical instruction, you will be eligible for certification as a Nursing Assistant through the California Department of Public Health. Includes clinical externship, uniform, CPR training and required certification examination. Textbook sold separately.

In this program, students learn administrative front office concepts and skills for hospitals, clinics and doctor's offices. Instruction includes medical terminology, HIPAA, standard patient processing and concepts of front office customer service. The program includes CPR and First Aid certification. Students will need access to the Internet for some components of this program. Computer lab time will be available outside of classroom instruction. Includes externship and certificate.Textbook sold separately

EKG Technician

Our EKG Technician training program will prepare you for an excellent career and to take a national EKG Technician certification exam. You will gain 70 hours of classroom instruction to help you acquire a strong understanding of electrocardiography. Over the course of 10 weeks you will be exposed to job duties including: unit operation and troubleshooting, lead placement, use and understanding of EKG grid paper, recognizing EKG patterns in all 12 leads, and plotting the EKG axis. Includes supplies and certificate. Textbook sold separately.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will help the pharmacist package and mix prescriptions, maintain patient records, refer patients to the pharmacist for counseling, and assist with inventory control, payment, collection, purchasing and billing. The 302-hour program combines 182 hours of classroom instruction with a 120-hour off-site clinical pharmacy externship. Includes supplies, externship and certificate. Textbook sold separately.

Intravenous Compounding for the Pharmacy Technician

This program is designed for Pharmacy Technicians who are looking to expand their skills. You will receive 40 hours of classroom instruction. In this program, you will complete complex dosage calculations, review the importance of infection control, demonstrate the preparation of prescriptions (including total parenteral nutrition) for intravenous therapy within a laminar air hood and learn to handle potentially hazardous agents. Textbooks sold separately

Certified Medical Practice Manager—Self-Paced Online 

The Certified Medical Practice Manager (CMPM®) program is a self-paced, internet-based training which includes twenty-five videotaped educational sessions and the CMPM® Exam. Completed in the convenience of your home or office, this program will lead to the designation of Certified Medical Practice Manager (CMPM®). Tuition includes the first year of Doctor’s Management University (DMU) Membership.

Surviving and Thriving with Conflict on the Job

The goal of this program is to enhance nursing assistants' abilities to effectively deal with conflict on the job. Upon completion you will be able to analyze the dynamics of conflict in the workplace, identify behavioral responses to conflict and their outcomes and apply five conflict resolution strategies to specific situations.
