Vallejo Regional Education Center (formally Vallejo Adult School) offers a variety of academic, vocational and personal enrichment programs. We strive to provide life long learning opportunities for the Vallejo community.
Adult Basic Education classes for students who need to improve reading and computation skills to prepare for High School Diploma/GED Preparation programs.
English as a Second Language classes for students who need to learn English and/or improve their speaking and writing skills to prepare for High School Diploma/GED Preparation programs or enter Community College programs.
Career Vocational programs offer job skills training in Office Skills, Allied Healthcare, Security and Facilities Maintenance as well as Professional Development for Continuing Education credits for Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, Small business and Customer service.
Older Adult Programs for our over 50 years of age community. Classes include Health and Fitness, Memory and Cognitive Improvement.
Our Mission is to provide quality education and preparation for the citizens of the greater Vallejo area so that they may actively participate in family, community, workplace, and civic engagement. We serve over 6,000 students annually with a wide variety of academic, vocational and personal enrichment programs.
In an effort to promote and provide life-long learning, we offer a broad-based curriculum to assist students in the development of basic skills, academic competence, job preparation, personal enrichment, intellectual growth and citizenship.
Regional Education Center is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) The current term of accreditation July 2011 through June 2017.

All Adult Basic Education, GED Preparation and High School Diploma classes are FREE, we do charge a processing fee of $25.00 per term. High School Online courses available.
In our Spring term we had increased demand for Basic Math, GED Preparation and High School diploma classes. We have added more sections in the Spring Term to meet this need. We will continue to offer a variety of Academic, Vocational and Older Adult Programs.
All of our GED preparation and High School diploma classes are free of charge, we do charge a processing fee of $25.00. We offer morning, afternoon and evening classes for easy access. We have also implemented the highly effective Aventa online curriculum that allows students to work online at home and school to complete courses at their own pace. These classes are open to adult students.
The Lending Library has a wide selection of books for borrowing. We have established College and Career Bulletin boards to showcase academic progress and job opportunities. Job listings are updated weekly and many students have found employment using this resource.
